Counterfeit money factory? The Prosecution requests the Bank of Albania to verify them

But while three people ended up in custody, two other Cameroonians and a Swiss, the authorities are trying to find out what is the secret of the attempt to throw such a large amount of foreign currency into the Albanian market.

270 thousand counterfeit euros may be the product of these plates that two Cameroonian citizens and a Swiss woman tried to pass through Rinas a few days ago. But the high quality with many forged security elements has led prosecutors to suspect that this operation could have had other purposes.

For this reason, the investigation team asks the Bank of Albania for help, asking them to identify the plates and whether or not they have security elements.

Cameroonian Ngankam traveled from France to Istanbul and further to Tirana, where another of his compatriots, also under investigation, booked a hotel for four nights. The first suspect sent the photo as soon as he started the trip by plane. After the discovery at the Albanian border, the key accomplice in the criminal action Fonge that was discovered from the booking was written a message on the phone by the third actress. Identified as Jenny Chollet, she warned “you have to be afraid”.

Preliminary data referring to the evidence and examination of the camera confirm that the arrested woman with Swiss citizenship and a residence permit in Tirana mediated with the group to purchase a property along the Tirana-Durrës highway.

But this is just one of the tracks, say members of this investigation for Top Channel, after the photo of the identity card of a citizen was found on the suspects’ phones. In his testimony, it is clarified not only that he knew a foreigner through the Swiss woman who frequented his bar, but also how the 40-year-old met a Frenchman, whom the witness says he took to the prime minister after he had a project. But this investment was not finalized, the Albanian testifies.
