An elderly Nigerian couple in Britain have been arrested on suspicion of taking and trafficking a child’s organs in Britain.
Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55, gave Ike Ekweremadu, 60, appeared today in the first hearing of the macabre charges trial in Uxbridge.
They are accused of conspiracy to organize the trip of a person with the objective of using it, precisely taking vital organs.
From the delicate status of the case the British police said that they have taken into custody the child without revealing his sex or age, nor the location of the arrests.
But since the suspects will appear in Uxbridge court, they have most likely been detained at Heathrow International Airport, London, where they apparently waited for the child they sought to exploit inhumanely.
Organ harvesting involves the removal of important body parts for financial gain, without the will of the victim.
The investigation began after officers received alerts for possible violations under the anti-‘modern slavery’ law passed in the country in May 2022, police said.

In 2017 a former minister in Nigeria had publicly denounced that the organs of immigrants from his country were being confiscated after being sold in the form of slavery.
Femi Fani-Kayode, once Nigeria’s aviation minister, said at the time that 75 percent of the enslaved slaves were from his country.
The Cambridge University-educated official said the victims had their bodies mutilated as if they were ‘shish kebab meat’. He added: “They are ripe alive, as Libyans do to Africans looking for a way to Europe.”
“They sell them for slavery, which means either murder, mutilation, torture, or death.”
