Crisis in PD / Basha: We are in a deep process of reflection, ready to do everything in the interest of the party

By this, it is implied that he is ready to resign from the post, demanded by the majority of the PD group.

He stressed that meetings at the party will continue, as everyone will take responsibility for the deep defeat in the March 6 local by-elections, starting with himself.

“There was a meeting of the group of deputies that a day later, a meeting of the group of chairmen, the College of Presidents, will continue with the meeting of the Presidency. So we are in a deep process of reflection after which without question we will take responsibilities from me first.

If I now prejudge what will happen without talking to co-workers, to people. Currently, the heads of the branches have contact with the grassroots structures, as well as the deputies. So, we are in a process of reflection and for the reflection to be done properly we must first of all respect those people who have their own opinions, bring the opinions of others. We are therefore in a process that started the day after March 6, a process that continued the next day and will continue in the coming days. So it’s an in-depth reflection process with one goal: The best interest of Democrats. So we come out, because it seems clear that one of the main reasons is the division and conflict between us. I am ready to do everything in the best interest of the Democratic Party. But, you have to be a little patient that to anticipate things when we are in a process of reflection is not even wise ..

As I told you that the day after March 6 we have gathered the first structure because it happened that Monday was the day of parliament, I convened the College of Presidents the next day, we will convene the Presidency while the College of Mayors wanted to be in contact with structures, MPs have sought to be in contact with the structures. So, we are in a process of internal reflection, some of them have required specific analysis for the 6 municipalities. I assure you that the Democrats will take their destinies into their own hands, the Democratic Party will emerge from this strong and united process. This is the goal and in its function that without question that the first task and responsibility is mine and I am ready to take every step for the Democratic Party to be strong, united and to emerge from March 6, from the loss of 6 March not to miss the great lesson of March 6 which is the necessity to be as strong and united as possible in the face of this regime. Today we are discussing the Incinerator Commission, I hope they give an attention that all that work has been done and it deserves it, the Democratic Party, our commission members, the citizens deserve transparency in the Incinerator Commission. Meanwhile, it is becoming famous with oil and the head of the government has fled to Dubai. Let’s deal with these. The reflection process started and will continue“, Said Basha.

The Democratic Party is already in an identity crisis, as Grida Duma, Agron Gjekmarkaj and Flutura Açka resigned from their positions in the Democratic Party.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

Ferdinand Xhaferraj and Ervin Salianji made public the position held during the meeting held at the headquarters, also on social networks. Basha’s departure and a new political leader within the parliamentary group are demanded.

now there is not only an external movement outside the DP led by the historical leader, Sali Berisha, but also an internal movement.

The leader of the Democratic Party continues not to accept the deep defeat in the local by-elections, where not only could not get any municipality, but was ranked third force with fewer votes than Sali Berisha’s coalition with the SMI and PDK- in.

The March 6 elections had a great value for the democratic electorate, where it was expected to show the support of the Democrats who for months have already been divided on two fronts, those who support Basha and the group supports Berisha.

The Socialist Party managed to get five of the six municipalities in the race, Vora, Rrogoshina, Dibra, Lushnja and Durres, while the “House of Freedom” coalition won in Shkodra.
