Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged Ukraine’s partners around the world to offer solutions based on reality rather than abstract opinions.
While delivering a speech, he indicated that leaders are meeting to discuss Ukraine’s war and NATO membership – and stresses that he knows which of those leaders are supporting Ukraine.
On the war, he says, Ukrainian men and women are defending their state for fifteen days and have repulsed attacks in key areas.
He also said that the Russians had created a “humanitarian catastrophe” in Ukraine and that he wanted to humiliate the Ukrainian people and “make them kneel and take bread and water from their hands.”
“We did not become slaves and we will never become slaves – because this is our soul and this is our destiny,” Zelensky said.
While expressing regret over the damage the invaders have done to Ukraine, Zelensky said that after the war, everything will be rebuilt to the highest standards and planning by the government is already being done.
