For Korça, winter with snow is not something unusual but what happens constantly is that no one opens the roads.
The only ones that get some attention are the main boulevards or the city ring while on the other streets no one gets their hands on it. On the sidewalks along them, cleaning workers create passage corridors where you can hardly be exchanged, while for the citizens every walk is accompanied by fear. The situation becomes worse in the rest of the city where there is no snow removal at all.
After leaving school, children without a doubt have to go home and it is the parents or grandparents who accompany them. The biggest difficulty remains for them to be able to approach the school and in such a situation where the slope is great the fear that they may fall is also not lacking.
While whenever there is bad weather the authorities recommend to avoid movements, the daily life in the city is different and the residents are forced to suffer the consequences.
