A 36-year-old Albanian from Lezha declared internationally wanted has been arrested in Belgium.
In a press release, the police said that the international operation codenamed “Avenue”, led to the handcuffs of 36-year-old from Lezha, Mariglen Përgjini.
He was convicted of three felonies, including “premeditated murder”, “production and sale of narcotics” and “illegal production and possession of weapons of war”.
The 36-year-old is said to have used a forged Bulgarian passport in order to evade identification by the police.
Citizen Mariglen Përgjini was declared internationally wanted after the Shkodra Court of Appeals sentenced him to 18 years in prison, of which he has 10 years, 4 months and 27 days in prison left, for the criminal offenses of “Intentional Murder” and “Illegal production and possession of weapons of war.”
This citizen was also sentenced by the Court of Appeals in Tirana, to 3 years and 4 months in prison, for the criminal offense “Production and sale of narcotics.”
