Everton has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Dele Allin, who is being transferred from Tottenham, for a fee which could reach the value of 40 million euros.
Coach Frank Lampard said it was time for midfielder Alli to be reborn in his career following a stalemate at Tottenham in recent years. “I am very happy to have signed for Everton, a great club with a great history and great fans. I am eager to start and can hardly wait for my first game with the Everton jersey. “I look forward to helping the team and working with the new coach Frank Lampard,” said Dele Alli.
The midfielder, who comes from Tottenham, is expected to make his debut on February 8, against Newcastle in the Premier League. With Spurs, Alli scored 67 goals in 269 games played. The 25-year-old, who has played 37 times for England, has played six games under coach Antonio Conte since the Italian arrived in November.
The striking midfielder has played six opening games in the Premier League this season during Nuno Espirito Santo’s time on the Tottenham bench.
Alli scored 10 goals in 33 games during his season in the Premier League, before reaching the figure of 18 goals in the 2016-17 season, thus making him the winner of two PFA (New Player of the Year) awards.
