DP appeals to KAS the decision of the CEC after the registration of the coalition “House of Freedom” in the by-elections of March 6.
In this complaint, PD says that this political party at no time and in no case has expressed the will or desire to be part of such a coalition.
DP asks KAS to clarify that the coalition “House of Freedom” is an initiative of the Commission for Re-establishment of Berisha by introducing itself as the Democratic Party.
In this statement, PD states that the decision of the CEC has interfered in the content of the SMI request for registration, excluding from the registration the Re-establishment Commission, which according to Marash Logut, this is not provided by the election law.
“The commissioner states in the complaint that he decided to accept the request and register it, intervening and changing the will of the applicant. So contrary to what was said in the request for the entities participating in the coalition, the Commissioner has decided to register a coalition with only two of them, in fact acting in excess of his powers.
“The election law authorizes the Commissioner only to decide whether to accept or reject a request, not to interfere in its content or the coalition agreement,” the complaint reads.
