U.S. police have released footage of Alabama jailbreaker Casey White being arrested following police raid that resulted in an accident and the suicide of his girlfriend, the prison guard who helped him escape.
Evansville Police published the almost two-minute video on Tuesday night, where the Cadillac vehicle of the two fugitives is seen.
About 10 police officers are seen on the scene arresting the burly White prisoner, before accompanying the 38-year-old to the patrol car.
Two police officers further escort the man 2.1 meters tall by placing him on the hood of the police car, as a fire truck comes behind them.
He surrendered as his companion Vicky White, a 56-year-old officer, committed suicide with the service weapon as police approached, according to authorities.
Officials said the confrontation could have been much fiercer as clear pistols and an AR-15 automatic were found in their vehicle. Officials said they may have planned to fight with police, but changed their minds at the last minute.
