The company “MS Unistream & CO.KG”, which belongs to the coal ship that was caught in the Port of Durrës with 60 kg of cocaine, a few weeks ago, requests in the Special Court of Appeal, the lifting of the seizure imposed by SPAK.
This Tuesday, representatives of the company and its lawyer appeared before the court. The coal ship arrived at the Port of Durrës, from Colombia, where it was loaded with tens of tons of coal, which was ordered by a foreign company operating in Albania.
In addition to seizing the ship, SPAK also blocked the passports of the crew. The 132-meter-long cargo ship had departed from Barranquilla, a port in Colombia, and arrived in Durrës after a nearly 20-day voyage. It was placed in the Eastern Terminal that serves for loading-unloading of minerals on the morning of May 16, and after the intervention of the police, a quantity of 59 kilograms of narcotics suspected as cocaine was found among the coal.
