The use of alcohol in driving has been a troubling problem but recently a novelty has been noticed.
The most problematic are women who are caught drunk at the wheel. The police are also concerned about the use of alcohol not only on weekends but every day and every hour.
Unfortunately, under the influence of alcohol, the drivers of public vehicles were also caught, where in the first 5 months of the year, 8 cases were ascertained.
“More problems in the use of alcohol while driving are women. We appeal for caution. We have exercised preventive checks during all time hours from morning until late in the evening as every day we find drunk people behind the wheel “said Gerhard Baka, urban transport specialist.
“Despite the appeals and controls of the traffic police, the use of alcohol while driving remains a problem. In only the first 5 months of this year, 1500 cases have been ascertained, out of which 316 have been arrested. “he added.
What is noticeable is the fact that among the arrested 43 people are repeat offenders, so they were stopped once drunk at the wheel and as soon as they regained their driving license they repeated the same violation. Toxicologists emphasize that citizens are unwilling to receive treatment to quit alcohol.
