During her speech at the National Council for European Integration, PD MP Grida Duma raised the issue of youth cannabis use in schools and said that no preventive measures have been taken in this regard.
The Duma said that Rama should take measures to ban the use of hashish and not its legalization. She also mentioned the case of a serious accident on “Kavaja Street” where she said that the driver of the vehicle was a cannabis user and no action was taken against him even though he had been detained several times by the police.
Duma speech:
When you say we have achievements yes and yes failures you have to say and what failures. That making poetry, composing “we have achieved a lot”… but never where have you failed and where has it failed?
In terms of progress reports, some of us have experience in handling them. It would be good to do this logic, where there are deteriorations and there is no achievement to say.
Logical absurdity when you only say achievements.
What do Albanians benefit from endless roundtables? 0 benefits for European progress for Albanians.
We are here with Min. Interior. I appreciate the ethical way of presenting the report. What is not ethical, the presentation of the cannabis situation. According to the OSCE report and the European Commission recently, the concern is the use of drugs in school by children.
I will ask you in writing what you have to do with the fight against hashish in schools. What is being done concretely by you as a Minister. Then we add here the fact that PM Rama is using strategies to legalize cannabis.
We forget that cannabis is one of the biggest problems of Albanian families. There is no public or private school that does not have this problem in 50% of students and that we have no preventive measures.
The gentleman who injured the family, was also a user of narcotics banned 8 times but where were the preventive measures of the state police ??? This person case was not assessed as a criminal contingent ?? !!
