Until midday on Tuesday, after 96 hours of fighting with the cyber attack that happened for the first time in Albania, most of the online public services are inaccessible to Albanians.
While the prime minister announced that today the websites of the ministries and some state institutions have returned to full operation, but that through a simple online verification it turns out that, for example, the website of the national drug agency is still not working. This is because all services are connected to e-Albania, a system which is still out of order and it is not known how long it will take to restore it to normal.
“It cannot be the only alternative. They should open the doors for the people, they are making us sleepy in this heat. We cannot raise our hands and expect that the system does not work! We have problems…“, say the citizens.
Albanians faced with information systems blocked indefinitely, turn to the doors of public institutions where they need to receive services, such as the Aluism, the Ministry of Education, the Directorate of Prisons, etc., but they are sent away without giving you a solution and denying you the right of receiving the service on time. As for the information society agency itself, the security guard faces the concern of Albanians in this chaotic situation.
Although the state is a total paralysis from this cyber attack, the only counters that offer physical service are the state police and the civil state…
The National Information Systems Agency states that the data was saved after the immediate isolation of the digital infrastructure, but that even though the government denies that the data has been affected, the fear exists among citizens as well as among some technology experts.
