Police have hit another case in the area of providing assistance for illegal border crossing, against profit.
An 18-year-old is handcuffed after being caught red-handed transporting 5 illegal immigrants.
Pursuant to the tasks defined in the plan of measures drafted by DVP Elbasan, to prevent and crack down on the illegal activity of providing assistance to foreign nationals for illegal border crossing and their transit in the Albanian territory, destined for EU countries- Specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking in DVP Elbasan, after the information received on the operational road that a citizen was transporting from Korça to Tirana, some citizens from third countries, in order to provide assistance for illegal border crossing, captured and arrested the citizen:
AB, 18 years old, resident in the village of Vloçisht, Korçë.
This citizen was caught by the Police services on the road axis Librazhd-Elbasan, transporting 5 foreign citizens, for a profit of 100 euros per person, with a vehicle he was driving without a driving license.
The investigative materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance in Elbasan, for the criminal offenses “Assistance in illegal border crossing” and “Irregular driving”.
