The bridge of the village Llakatund, which connects the villages of the municipality of Selenica, Picar, Lubonjë, Armen with the administrative unit Shushicë today is in critical condition.
Built in the ’80s, with a length of 70 meters and a width of 6 meters, this bridge today has damaged its legs. Avoiding the bridge and consequently the danger they face, the residents make every day 20 kilometers more roads to move from and to the village.
This bridge built 40 years ago has never been maintained, say locals. The head of the Bircë administrative unit, Aliaj, also blames the erosion on the condition of the bridge.
There is a project to pave the bridge but not for the most urgent issue which is intervention on the injured leg.
