“If the war starts, I will come to Albania.”
This was what Alban Cali declared from Kiev on February 8, 2022. Albani is one of the few Albanians who lived in Kiev for several years with his wife and daughter. With a trembling voice in a voice communication sent to Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu, he shows that he was able to escape the hell caused by the Russian aggression in Kiev, in a European capital, for three days under the grip of a devastating war.
“I managed to cross to Romania. I’m in Romania now and I’m going to Bucharest. Every thing good”, says Albani.
Asked by Top Channel what situation he left in Kiev, Albani says:
“Honestly, fame is being made there. What I know friends and everyone else is mobilized. Civilians with Molotov. It is complete chaos and loss of life as civilians do not know very well how to use weapons. Thus there may be injuries among each other. It is a real chaos but Ukraine will not give up. If the army surrenders then there will be partisan warfare with extremely loss of lives. “Everyone is determined to go to the end.”
The attack on Kiev shows Albani has been well-prepared for a long time.
“This plan has been very well organized. They (Russians) have had 10,000 to 20,000 people located in Kiev who have been taken all this time coordinating Russian forces to parachute into the facilities where they have to land after making signs on the terraces of palaces, stealing apartments and stealing created chaos ”.
Meanwhile, Top Channel learns that three other Albanian citizens living in Ukraine were able to arrive in Poland.
