The explosion in the building of a police officer, family members suspect because of his duty.

The blast was recorded around 10.20pm last night. A quantity of explosives was placed on the door of the shop that the Gashi family has in front of the three-storey house. None of the family members was in the apartment. Hysen Gashi, 54, a police officer at the Durrës police station, had been at work for 30 years, while his wife and son were with their married daughter in Rrashbull.
Police who arrived at the scene last night seized the security cameras of two premises located at a distance, but on the same street where Gashëve’s house is located.
In addition to the testimony of Hysen Gashi to the police, a fellow villager who was driving in front of their house at the time of the explosion was also called. According to Ibrahim, his vehicle was damaged by the explosion and they do not suspect anything to do with the incident.
The building on the door of which the explosive was placed was formerly a clothing store and was currently used by the family to store animal feed. The explosion caused only material damage, while the authorities are expected to clarify the event.
