This is the official website of the Order of Psychologists of Albania. Every year this order updates this list and sends it to institutions and televisions. The purpose of all this is to avoid and deter false psychologists.
Valbona Treska: The Order of Psychologists currently numbers 1200-1300 psychologists, members who are active. The list is divided into certain counties and cities. This list is also sent to televisions to inform them that psychologists who are not professionals cannot be invited to TV shows, because there are psychologists who are charlatans, psychologists in quotes, who do not have the title of psychologist, but abuse it and appropriate the title. One of the cases I can mention was a psychologist from the city of Elbasan, who appeared in the media with the title of psychologist, but in fact had Bachelor studies and did not have the necessary academic training to be a psychologist.
I call on all citizens, be very careful when you have mental health problems, choose the right professional, refer to the lists of the Order of Psychologist on the site www.udhriipsikologut.al and find the person who is competent for the problem you have.
If a citizen goes to a person who is not adapted to solve his problems, not only can he not address the problem that the citizen has, but on the contrary he can overlap other problems only by the totally wrong treatment that can make such a charlatan and a person who is not a professional of the field.
Not all those who advertise on social networks as suitable people to solve certain problems, are really competent to do so. Rest assured that they are with dozens of our colleagues, who are very good professionals, who do not have time to advertise on social networks even though they handle dozens of cases during the day.
