A serious incident occurred this Friday in Lake Prushi in Tirana, where two minor children drowned while bathing.
A group of six children had gone to bathe in the lake, where the high temperatures of the last days were challenging, but unfortunately two of the children did not come out of the lake.
After the other children reported the absence of the 11- and 13-year-olds, who are thought to be related by blood, the relevant authorities were immediately notified and searched for the bodies. Initially only one of the bodies was found, but a few minutes later it became possible to find the other body as well.
The lake is more than three meters deep, but there have been no events of this nature before.
