French actor Gaspard Ulliel lost his life yesterday after a skiing accident in the Alps.
Ulliel was in hospital on Tuesday after an accident on the ski slopes in Savoie, authorities announced.
Actor’s representatives said Ulliel died Wednesday.
The local network ‘France Bleu’ said he was taken to hospital after a head injury after apparently colliding with another skier at the meeting point of the two tracks.
The media said the other skier was not taken to hospital.
Police and prosecutors did not want to discuss further details of the accident.
The Mountain Aid and Police Services said that in the accident area an average of five or six aid arrivals are made daily from skiers, in the current period when the snow has hardened.
In the neighboring Haute-Savoie region, a five-year-old girl was killed on Saturday when a skier collided swiftly with her.
The man was detained and charged with manslaughter.
