Albania’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Ferit Hoxha, in his speech to the Security Council this Tuesday condemned the Russian occupation of Ukraine.
In his speech, Hoxha said that Albania supports President Volodymir Zelensky and the Ukrainian people. He said Russia could not take Ukraine and that Kiev was stronger than Putin had predicted. Hoxha said that Russia has stalled, but has not stopped the bombing.

Russia has an international legal obligation to abide by international humanitarian law, the laws of war, including the Geneva Conventions of 1949. But, unfortunately, Russia has made another choice, not to respect any of it.
