Vasil Fetaj claimed in July when he raised his problem in Fiks Fare that he was employed by a subcontracting company that was building the Saranda Lungomare, to the subject Aristidh Breshani. “On April 6, 2021, a metal structure that was being placed in Lungomare collapsed and injured us,” says the 36-year-old. He turned to Fiks again and complained about the suspicious actions of the Saranda Prosecutor’s Office and the IML in his case. A few days ago he received a document from this accusation, which is a request of the Saranda Prosecutor’s Office that was sent to the court to terminate the investigation.

There are errors at the top of the document, as the date is written March 18, 2021! The event took place in April 2021. But the blunders went on. Prosecutor Alba Dhima writes that the criminal proceeding is 238 dated 5 May 2022. So a date that has not come yet! This error is at the beginning and end of the document.

But, inside it is written that the prosecution body has decided to re-examine with a group of forensic experts. An expert examination was carried out with No. 81 on January 17, 2021 at IML, but based on the data of the 24-hour card of the ‘Petro Nako’ Hospital in Saranda, as these acts have caused injuries over 9 days, minor injuries.

But, Vasili says that again the forensic examination was done with the data of Saranda Hospital and not of the Military Hospital. In fact, he has never been summoned by IML or Saranda Hospital for re-examination.

Fiks journalists addressed IML in Tirana. An IML manager who after being acquainted with the case says that the new report was made with the card of Saranda Hospital. He says that they did not find the injured party, while he adds that they also informed the Saranda Prosecutor’s Office.

The attempt to hide the event has also damaged Vasili economically. Social Security did not recognize these injuries “at work”, as they took him out of the camp to the extent of 70%. Vasili says that he has gone to Social Security several times, but only recently. He does not claim to be powerless to work and has no income to support his family of 3.

Vasili goes to Social Security, where they tell him they know the problem, and it is several times that he goes there.
