Meanwhile, Mr. Gjini at that time, after being released by the court and being investigated in a free state, was appointed Head of Security at the Port of Shengjin in Lezhë. Despite being accused of sexual harassment and alienation of property, the Ministry of Finance and Economy has appointed Mr. Agustin Gjini as director of the Port of Shengjin. In May 2022, the order of appointment to this post was uploaded to the KKB, signed by the Minister of Finance and Economy Delina Ibrahimaj. Sexual harassment in government offices

Fiks Fare contacted the former employee E.Sh, who admitted to sexual harassment by Agusin Gjini. According to her, the case is still under investigation, while for this case there was also a decision by the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination. The editors of the investigative show have secured the commissioner’s decision, where in the end all sexual harassment was proven. Here is what is written in this decision: “The complainant claims that she informed her direct superior, Mr. A.Gj., who not only did not give her a solution, but on the contrary reflected harassing behavior of a sexual nature towards her, which consisted of conversations on the WhatsApp application, as well as direct conversations with her. The complainant claims that Mr. A. Gj. insulted her and even tried to hit her in the presence of other employees. Ms. E. Sh. claims that, in the conditions where Mr. A.Gj., it happened before her refusal, refused to give her the additional payment for the hours of the third shift”.

At the Commissioner’s premises, a session was held between the parties, where Agustin Gjini, asked about the tabulations of messages in the WhatsApp application, filed as evidence by the complainant, Mr. Agustin Gjini initially stated that they could be, but later he changed his mind stating that they were not his and that he would answer for those tabulations only before the prosecution, as the case was under investigation by this institution.

“The commissioner relied on the conversations disclosed in the Expertise Act of the Tirana Legal Computer Expertise Center, during the time period 28.04.2020, 18:56 until 16.09.2020, 14:56. These conversations between Mrs. E. Sh. With Mr. A. Gj were exchanged on the WhatsApp application, as well as in 43 messages. By analyzing their conversations, the Commissioner found a not at all normal relationship between the superior and his subordinate. A, Gj., from time to time used provocative words and expressions of a sexual nature, often offensive to Mrs. E. Sh., as well as often receive “invitations” that are not at all normal. We suspended the review and then waited for the performance of the expert report by the Lezha prosecutor’s office. This charge confirmed that they were the complainant’s and the boss’s no. Everything has been tried. At that time, the director of security at the Port of Shengjin asked for sexual favors in exchange for facilities for this employee. And, when the employee does not respond, he takes action against her. All of them have been proven,” says the commissioner.

Gjini admits the problems with the employee
