Finland’s Minister for Europe, Tytti Tupparainen, stated today that the country is seeking to join NATO after the war in Ukraine.
She said that there are many possibilities for Finland to apply for membership, saying that the people of Finland have already decided and that the Russian occupation of Ukraine has been a wake-up call for the whole world.
However, she reiterated that the decision has not been fully taken. On the other hand, yesterday, the Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said that her country will confirm its decision “within weeks”.
