Five coronavirus-infected patients have lost their lives in the last 24 hours in the country.
The victims are a 61-year-old from Korça, two citizens from Tirana 67 and 81 years old, a 71-year-old from Durrës and a 72-year-old from Mallakastra.
Out of 1,383 tests performed in total, 19 167 citizens tested positive with Covid.
Specifically, 44 cases were registered in Tirana, 15 in Vlora, 12 in Berat, 9 in Durrës, 7 in Kuçovë, 6 in Vora, Dibër, 5 in Divjakë, Himara, 4 in Lushnjë, 3 in Shkodër, Kavaja, Mat, Mallakastër, Saranda, Devoll, Dimal, Skrapar, Elbasan, Gramsh, 2 in Kukës, Tropojë, Lezhë, Krujë, Kamëz, Gjirokastër, Përmet, Tepelena, Librazhd, 1 in Malësi e Madhe, Has, Mirditë, Fier, Delvinë.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are 5,129 active patients with Covid 19 nationwide.
Currently, 121 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 18 are in a more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 5 loss of life with SARS-COV2 positive:
253 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 199,386 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Meanwhile, any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
