Patients in the city of Vlora complain that they are not tested. According to them, the referral system does not work, right after the concession of the laboratory.
The latter is part of the concession agreement of the Ministry of Health with the Laboratory Network Network, which will operate for 10 years in 18 hospitals in the country. This concession has cost 13 billion ALL.
The sick have turned to the show Fiks Fare to find solutions. From the complaints of the patients who arrived at the editorial office, it is stated that the analysis laboratories do not function after their management by the concessionaire. A patient tells Fix reporters that he suffers from an incurable disease so he needs to have frequent tests before undergoing chemotherapy. He says that it has been 3 months that the family doctor does not plan any analysis as he did before.
With the help of Fiks reporters, the patient goes to the family doctor. It tells that planning can not be done, as the system operates 2 hours and only once a month. Doctors tell the patient that they should raise the problem at the party, as they have nothing else to do. Doctors even say that the next one scheduled falls in July. Fiks journalists go to the Regional Health Care Operator in Vlora who tells them to go to the Vlora Directorate.
Director Myzafer Islami admits that with the entry of the new concessionaire there were problems, but they have been resolved. Journalists ask him about the chronically ill who are not tested, but the director says that this problem has been solved. In these conditions, the journalists in the presence of the director call the family doctor who denies the director and confirms the opposite.
That patients are not tested, a problem which he addressed to his superiors, but did not receive a solution. At the moment of the call, the director asks the journalists to leave the office by taking the Fix operator out. Journalists also receive written answers from the Vlora Regional Hospital, where according to him everything is fine and the chronically ill are scheduled for tests by internal order from an oncologist.
An order that doctors do not have. Patients in this way continue to remain still without analysis.
