The region of Korça has fanatically preserved the folk costumes which are a rare treasure of our heritage.
Colonial singing dance, women’s dresses with carefully selected materials, colors, embroidery and various details add to the charm.
For 45 years Bylyre Jashari one of the well-known personalities of cultural values has not only kept the popular dress as an artist but also has studied and reproduced it and while explaining the characteristics of women’s clothing the artist considers them an identity.
Each component of the dress has its own features. The scarf is just one of them that covers the hair of women and girls, leads the dance, or hangs in the middle of the dress and that despite being used less and less nowadays, is a testament to what generations inherit.
