Former MP Fatos Hoxha has described today’s show in the Democratic Party as a shame, where Berisha’s supporters tried to force their way inside the headquarters.
Through a Facebook post, Hoxha emphasizes that “today’s clash was not of the Democrats, but only of the villains, it was of Berisha and Basha, of no one else”.
He underlines that the police must stop the perpetrators, organizers, instigators and perpetrators of violence, destruction of property and occupation of institutions. According to the former Democratic MP, if today the head of the crime is not arrested in flagrante delicto, then the rule of law in Albania is a dream and can become a reality.

I do not feel ashamed today even though I am a fanatical PD.
The show we saw today was not only embarrassing, but also criminal.
Today we saw broken windows, slammed doors, violence and fights.
Today the DP gave an unprecedented and unheard of anti-political show in the history of world partisanship.
Today, the PD headquarters was raped by a blind and brainless force, to the point that without the intervention of the police, the violence would not have been neutralized without blood and without victims.
But I still do not feel ashamed, because I have resisted the temptation to be part of one or the other party.
I have not become part of violence and conflict.
I have joined from the beginning the vast majority of Democrats who have read, understood and denounced this conflict as a conflict of low private and corrupt interests.
I have joined the majority who do not see themselves either in the same cause as Berisha’s anti-Americanism or Basha’s false principality. Today’s clash was not of the Democrats, but only of the villains, it was of Berisha and Basha, of no one else.
I do not feel ashamed, because the protection of the rule of law is neither my duty nor my responsibility.
The protection of the rule of law is the responsibility of the state, the protection of property and the legal order is the responsibility of the state, the protection of life and health of the people is the responsibility of the state.
I know for sure that today there have been assassinations of property, legal order, health and life of people. I also saw that the prosecution went to the scene in record time. But I can not be convinced that the rule of law is acting, as long as the police prohibit anonymity, but refuse to stop the perpetrators, organizers, instigators and perpetrators of violence, destruction of property and occupation of institutions. I followed the perpetrators live for at least three hours in the media. If today the head of the crime is not arrested in flagrance, then the rule of law in Albania is a dream but can not become a reality.
I do not feel ashamed today, because I am not responsible for the lack of rule of law in this country.
