The Constitutional Council of France has approved today the disputed document of forced vaccination to enter bars, restaurants and cinemas, but surprisingly with the exception of electoral rallies.
The new document is part of the president’s policies Emmanuel Macron, as he put it “to take the lives of the unvaccinated”, demanding only vaccination and no more negative tampon tests or the recent test of infection.
But just over two months before the election, the Constitutional Council rejected a request for the document to be requested at election rallies.
The vaccination document has brought a new impetus to the weekly popular protests over restrictions on infection in daily public life.
Some French lawmakers have appealed to the court against the fact that the mandatory vaccination document is unconstitutional, especially the decision for cafe and restaurant owners to check the vaccination document and the identity of customers.
The new rule, which takes effect Monday, bans unvaccinated people from almost all public places.
As for the political rallies, the constitutional court said that the request for the vaccination document “violates the freedom of expression and communication… which are precious as conditions for democracy.”
