The parliamentary group that supports Enkelejd Alibeaj does not agree with the majority proposal for the President of the Republic.
General Bajram Begaj is a name that came out of Edi Rama’s pocket, it is written in the reaction on the social network “Facebook”.
“No surprises from the personal process of Edi Rama for the election of the President of the Republic. He pulled out of his pocket today the envelope with the name of the candidate nominated by the state property mafia.
The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party had warned that Edi Rama had farce his conspiracies for a consensual and inclusive President. It is the duty of every MP of the Opposition not to legitimize this farce announced by us, even with a vote against.
Voting means giving the face of democratic normalcy to Edi Rama’s regime, while he is taking another personal act to annihilate another independent constitutional institution.
Thus, Alibeaj announces that he will not be tomorrow in the session where the new President will be voted.
“DP can not be in the session as a facade to legitimize the capture of the institution of the President, nor a witness of that process, as long as the result of the vote is known. DP can not vote for a President coming out of Edi Rama’s pocket, outside a comprehensive and transparent process”.
Alibeaj has described the whole process of electing the President as a farce of the majority. Thus, Alibeaj did not give any proposal in the second and third round of the process, where the majority itself did not make any proposal and as a justification said that “Edi Rama broke the agreement that was agreed upon at the beginning”.
