Germany has vowed to accept all Ukrainian refugees fleeing their country due to Russian occupation.
“We will accept all Ukrainians fleeing“, Said German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock at a joint press conference with her Slovenian counterpart Anze Logar this Monday.
Baerbock also promised more humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
“We are helping people fleeing Ukraine. We are standing on the border to bring help to people and to bring people to all European countries“, Added the minister.
Ahead of the UN General Assembly in New York this week, Baerbock said Putin has brought extraordinary suffering to Ukraine, while the latter is not alone.
“Today is the fifth day of Putin’s war against Ukraine and the innocent people in Ukraine. He has brought extraordinary suffering to Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands are fleeing, millions fear for their lives and their future. As cruel as these photos are, they make us more determined! Ukraine is not alone, Europe, Western Union of Values stands firmly on the side of brave Ukrainians“, Said Baerbock.
