Gjirokastra Police has successfully finalized another police operation codenamed ‘Ndalesa’, in which 2 citizens were handcuffed.
These citizens in cooperation with three other people who were arrested 6 months ago, have tried to cultivate narcotic plants in an open environment in the village of Këllëz.
As a result of the ‘Stop’ operation, it became possible to capture and execute detention orders issued by the Prosecution at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance, for citizens HB, 43 years old, resident in Gjirokastra and MB, 66 years old, resident in the village of Qesorat , Gjirokastra.
These two citizens are suspected to be co-authors of the event that took place in August 2021, between the village of Këllëz and Dhoksat, Gjirokastra, in a public environment, where 1700 suspected cannabis sativa sapling seedlings were found.
In August 2021, within this investigative process, 3 citizens were handcuffed and 1 other citizen was declared wanted. Work continues to capture him.
The materials in charge of the above citizens were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance, for further action.
