A laboratory aircraft was set up from Paris with a team of scientists to monitor the effects being felt by climate change.
Dr. Paola Formenti, from the National Center for Scientific Research, said the plane carries instruments that can measure pollutants in the atmosphere that affect climate change.
“Atmospheric pollution is the cause of climate change, it is anthropogenic emissions from daily activities such as traffic, heating, industrial emissions, everything that man, in fact, emits into the atmosphere, which causes a change in the composition of the atmosphere from its own. natural state and therefore causes climate change “, said Dr. Paola Formenti.
“The aim is to be in the throes of Paris emissions to get as much evidence as possible, and therefore depend on the weather forecast.” said engineer Jean-Philippe Desbios.
These flights are part of the “Panama 2022” initiative. This project especially aims to measure air quality in big cities.
