The Italian Super Cup is won by Inter. The black team defeated the eternal rivals of Juventus 2-1. But the challenge was more difficult for the reigning champions than anticipated.
The Whites came to Milan and played a very good match passing and first in the lead through McKenn who was nicely served by Morata and scored with a header. From that moment Inter increased the pressure and very quickly found the equalizer.
It was Dzeko who took a penalty which was scored by Lautaro Martinez. In the second half the challenge gave less emotion and the intensity dropped as both teams did not want to lose.
90 minutes ended in a draw. In extra time everything was equal and then as the teams were preparing to shoot the penalties Inter found the winning goal with Alexis Sanchez. The goal came in the 12th minute. This goal gave the second trophy to Inter in a few months, while for coach Inzaghi this was the first trophy with Inter.
