Google announced this Friday that it has suspended all advertising in Russia.
According to CNN, Google has announced in a press release: “In light of the extraordinary circumstances, we are banning Google advertising in Russia. “The situation is evolving rapidly and we will continue to share updates when needed.”
With this decision, Google blocks all Google advertising surfaces in Russia, including Google’s screen ads, YouTube and search.
Earlier, Twitter made a similar statement blocking advertising in Russia and Ukraine.
