Gazmor Maxhari, the father of Griseld Maxhari who was detained by the police as one of the perpetrators of the event that took place in Pogradec two months ago where Joan Muçllari was injured, said in a statement to the media that his 22-year-old son is not the perpetrator in this events. He adds that his son has intervened to quell the quarrel and that the prosecution and police are accusing him unjustly. He does not make his son innocent but says he is not the author.
“The truth of my son is that the prosecution and the police have arrested him as the perpetrator of the event that happened 2 months ago. Regarding this event I know to say that my son is not the author of this event.
Q: What is your son’s role?
My son was driving that day (with the author) was in conflict with the other party, not my son, as he was merely accompanying the author that day.
Q: You are saying that your son is being wrongly accused?
Yes and it is the truth that he is not the author, he coincided there. He has simply intervened to quell the quarrel between the parties and prevented an event that could further degrade.
Questions; What charges weigh on your son today?
Today, my son is charged with being the perpetrator of the incident, of attempted murder, while according to the eyewitness, my son simply intervened to share the quarrel.
Questions; How did your son surrender to the police station, why did he hide?
My son was scared and scared, he ran away in fear of this event.
Question: you handed over the boy yourself, why did the police report as if she had caught him?
Now, recently I have communicated with the boy and I managed to convince him too he was aware after he had seen in the media that the prosecution was accusing him as the perpetrator and was persuaded to surrender. I submitted it together with the lawyer on dt. 24. 10.30
I am very indignant because in all the media I read that one of the perpetrators was caught, when I handed over my son myself, notifying all the instances.
You are saying that your son should be judged as a helper and not as an author?
Yes, so I persuaded him to surrender to state everything he knows. Since he is not the author but the companion, my son has nothing to do with the other party nor conflict.
There is an eyewitness of the other party who stated that my son only intervened to separate them.
I am confident that justice will go to the country. He to be punished for his guilt and the perpetrator for the guilt he has committed.
