Warsaw police in Bielany have arrested a 45-year-old man who was due to serve a 25-year sentence for murder 20 years ago, a Warsaw County Police Department spokeswoman said.
The incident happened a few days ago in front of one of the shops on Broniewskiego Street in Warsaw.
During the search, local officials in Bielany asked the 45-year-old for an ID card.
“The man was wanted by the district court for murder 20 years ago,” said the chief inspector. ““He was sent to prison, where he will spend 25 years.”, she said, adding: “The arrest of the wanted person is a confirmation that hiding from law enforcement never acquits the responsibility for breaking the law.”
