In 30 years, the Democratic Party in Shkodra, for the first time in its history does not get even a single vote in a polling station. It is about the polling station number 118, in Breg i Lumit, in Shale, where according to the CEC, no voter trusted the vote to the democratic candidate Xhemal Bushati. It turns out that even the PD commissioner did not vote for his party.
For the Municipality of Shkodra, the competition is stronger than in the other 5 municipalities. Bardh Spahia of the “House of Freedom” leads the race with a difference of 1900 votes from the socialist candidate Majlinda Angoni and over 11,000 votes from the PD candidate, Xhemal Bushati.
In the past, since the fall of communism, the Municipality of Shkodra has recognized in its direction only representatives of the right.
Of the local elections that have taken place, 6 have been won by the DP and 1 by the right-wing coalition.
The Socialist Party has been able to win Shkodra only once and this was in 2019 with Valdrin Pjetri.
But the latter could not enjoy the post of president-elect after he resigned without yet taking the oath of non-declaration on the decriminalization form of a sentence taken in Italy.
