The police operation codenamed “Online Pages” is successfully finalized
The operation carried out by the Sector for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, under the direction of the Prosecution of the Tirana Judicial District.
As part of this operation, the security measures “Prison arrest” were executed for 15 citizens and 6 others were declared wanted.
Specialists of the Sector for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime, following the work and successive strikes to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activity in the field of smuggling of goods, under the direction of the Tirana Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, after several months of investigative work, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed “Pages Online”, in which the arrest of citizens took place:
– EI, 39 years old, KV, 34 years old, EK, 30 years old, JQ, 38 years old, P. Rr., 35 years old, EK, 34 years old, E. Xh., 33 years old, ER, 41 years old, AD, 33 years old, G. Ll., 30 years old, JK, 31 years old, SR, 38 years old, Sh. P., 52 years old, BB, 56 years old, R. Gj., 27 years old, administrators of various online sites.
Also, the citizens AH, 22 years old, MB, 32 years old, AS, 32 years old, MG, 36 years old, E. Ç., And EZ were declared wanted.
From the investigative actions carried out, it has resulted that, these citizens through online sites on social networks, advertised and traded various products, which are suspected to have been smuggled into Albania, and for their sales, did not give a tax invoice, avoiding payment of taxes and levies.
As material evidence, significant quantities of products (goods) were seized, which would be traded to customers by mail.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance in Tirana, in charge of the above-mentioned citizens, for the criminal offenses “Smuggling of other goods”, “Concealment of income”, “Failure to pay taxes and fees”, and Violation of industrial property rights ”.
