As part of the ‘Open Balkan’ initiative, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia Zoran Zaev are discussing the Agro-Culture and Regional Cooperation Forum.
Vucic stressed that everyone should co-operate so that everyone does the job properly in order to reach the 1 billion figure in a few years in the field of agriculture.
Vucic: I believe that you all see clearly that we are very eager to cooperate in various fields and agriculture is one of the most important areas and that we will address together. This field is not only about the free movement of food, but also about cooperation in relation to different materials or fruits and vegetables and it is not just an exchange of food products between our three countries, but it is also about cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, robots, software, information technology, all of which can support agriculture in the future.
We, Serbia, have about 70 million euros for food products, about 230 million euros with Northern Macedonia, which are still small figures, and I believe that we will soon reach the figure of 1 billion if we do all the work properly. The signing of the agreement in the field of veterinary, phytosanitary and food safety means more security for the products we consume and for agriculture means the acceleration of processes in reducing costs which are also high, but also the ranks in border points.
Among other things, Vucic said he supports Rama’s idea of bringing everyone together in a wider meeting in Skopje and then in Belgrade to clearly understand the idea of the exchange.
Vucic: We will sign additional agreements and believe that the procedures will be simplified for the private sector. E mbështes plotësisht idenë e Edit që të gjitha qeveritë dhe aktorët, që të bëhemi bashkë në një takim më të gjerë në Shkup ose diku tjetër në Maqedoninë e Veriut dhe më pas edhe në Beograd pasi ne duhet t’i bëjmë bashkë të gjithë aktorët që të kuptohet qartë ideja e shkëmbimit në mënyrë që të kemi më shumë rezultate në të ardhmen.
