Important announcement! Works on the road axis, here is how the traffic diversion will be done in Rinas-Qafë Kashar

The planned works aim at improving road safety and consist of:

– Scarring of existing asphalt layers and realization of all new asphalt layers along the entire length.
– Updating of road signs and road safety measures along the entire road segment Rinas – Rinas-Qafë Kashar Intersection. The works are expected to be carried out according to the approved work schedule, which will last for a period of 30 days depending on atmospheric conditions. If the weather is bad, with rain, the schedule will be delayed as the weather improves.

The works will be done throughout the day with extended hours and will be divided into 3 (three) phases as follows:

FIRST PHASE: KASHAR NECK LEADERSHIP – EPOKA UNIVERSITY

Works in this segment will continue for 7-10 days.

• The first day of works will be in Qafë Kashar and the completion at Epoka University, work will be done in both lanes.
• Vehicles moving in the direction of Qafë Kashar-Rinas in the direction of the airport to be diverted to the highway in the direction of Qafë Kashar-Vora-Rinas.
Vehicles will be instructed to use other crossings on the secondary road as well. The highway segment Qafë Kashar – Vora and Vora – exit Fushë Krujë – Rinas – Rinas junction (Airport) –University Epoka and vice versa will be accessible.

PHASE TWO: EPOKA-RINAS UNIVERSITY AIRPORT

Works in this segment will continue for 5-7 days.
• Vehicles moving in the direction of Qafë Kashar-Rinas in the direction of the airport will be diverted to the highway in the direction of Qafë Kashar-Vora-Rinas.
• The second phase of works will be from the University Epoka-Rinas airport will work in both lanes. Vehicles will be diverted from Qafë Kashari-Epoka University while from Epoka to Rinas Airport will be blocked.
The vehicles will also use the secondary roads to the Exit Highway-Direction Durrës.

During the first and second phase, all incoming and outgoing movements at Rinas Airport will be made in the direction from Rinas (Airport-K / Rinas (Ahmetaq) -Vora – Tirana-Durres and vice versa).

THIRD PHASE: RINAS AIRPORT – RINAS CROSSROADS
Works in this segment will continue for 7-10 days.
• The third phase of works will be from Rinas Airport-Rinas Crossroads (Ahmetaq), where work will be done in both lanes. The vehicles will be diverted to the Rinas Branch in the direction of Vora to the Entrance of the Tirana-Durrës Highway and will use the Qafë Kashar-Rinas segment (airport).

Employees of the Albanian Road Authority, Traffic Police and maintenance firms will be on the ground for the intervention, traffic orientation according to the approved management plan and to avoid traffic jams.
