The escape of the second robber in the branch of the Albanian post in Kamza, Elis Suçi, lasted only a few days.
The young man fell into handcuffs two days after the robbery, where with a toy pistol he threatened the cashier at the post office branch, taking the money.
Thanks to security camera footage in the area as well as operational data, police identified the two perpetrators of the robbery that took place at noon on Monday, Elis Suçi and his friend Algert Kurti who lived in a building a few meters away from the post office branch. Police were able to handcuff only 20-year-old Algert Kurti who told investigators that he had committed the robbery with his friend Elis Sulçi.
Investigations revealed that the originator of the robbery was 30-year-old Elis Suçi, who has a previous precedent in the field of theft and has already been declared wanted by the police. The 30-year-old observed the post office when the pension money was delivered to the residents of the area and saved the moment when there were only employees in the branch. He then, along with his friend, committed the robbery under the threat of a gun.
As material evidence, the police seized the detainee’s cell phone as well as the clothes used by the latter in the event, but did not find any trace of the stolen money and the firearm with which the post office counters were threatened.
