The special court is hearing the defense for the 8 defendants for the robbery at the Rinas International Airport.
During the hearing, the lawyer of Eldi and Klement Çala emphasized that his two clients are in the special 41 biss regime and that he did not have the opportunity to consult with them for protection.
Lawyer Elton Hyseni stressed that they have been on hunger strike and that they are not familiar with the material. The lawyer also stressed that he is not allowed to enter any material in the premises of the special regime and that he did not have the opportunity to consult with the two brothers.
The lawyer pointed out the fact that since Eldi and Klement Ccala had not been made aware of the defense he could not report it to the court without talking to them if they agreed with the defense.
At this hearing it was confirmed that the defendants who are in the special regime 41 biss have been on hunger strike.
Also during the hearing there were debates from other lawyers who asked for the defense to be done in order, but then the court decided that they should read the defense.
Prison police informed the court that documents were not allowed to be sent to the 41 defendants.
The defense prepared by lawyer Elton Hyseni was given to be read to the two brothers inside the glass cage.
It has not yet been decided whether they will agree to the defense or want more time to consult their lawyer.
The robbery of Rinas took place on April 9, 2019 where several million euros were robbed in the belly of a plane.
