An avalanche hit 7 Indian army officers in Aranchal Pradesh state.
The avalanche fell after several days of snowfall in the northeastern region of India.
Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Col. Harsh Wardhan Pande said an avalanche has hit a 7-member military patrol and rescue teams are on the ground.
The PTT news agency reports that in the Western Kamenga district of Aranchal Pradesh, snow fell for the first time in 20 years.
