Israel announced today that it has successfully tested an anti-missile defense system designed to capture ballistic missiles outside the Earth’s atmosphere.
The new Israeli system called the Arrow is designed as a series of synchronized firing units and has been developed in recent years to provide protection in any future conflict with Iran’s biggest enemy, Iran, or regional pro-Iranian militant groups such as Lebanese Hezbollah. or Palestinian Hamas in the Gaza Strip, reports AP.
After testing, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that the system discovered the target and fired two Arrow missiles, assessing that the mission was successful.
“With every step forward, with every new achievement, we equip the state of Israel to protect itself from growing threats. “Our systems give Israel the freedom to maneuver strategically,” said Defense Minister Benny Ganz in a statement.
The Arrow system was developed by the state-owned company dedicated to Israel Aerospace Industries, in collaboration with the US Missile Defense Agency.
