It was initially referred to as an accidental event, after in-depth investigations by the Police, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, the incident that took place on 26.06.2022, in Peshkopi, where a 60-year-old citizen of NB was seriously injured, who then died in hospital.
The suspected author of the injury resulting in the death of the 60-year-old is arrested.
3 other citizens are being criminally prosecuted for not reporting a crime.
From the investigative structures of the Dibër Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office at the Dibër Judicial District Court, based on the suspicions created for the event that occurred on 26.06.2022, in the “Kamen” neighborhood, Peshkopi, where the citizen was seriously injured NB, 60 years old, who later died in the hospital, deepened the investigations to clarify the circumstances of this event.
At the end of the procedural actions, the citizen was detained:
AT, 53 years old, resident of the village of Shimçan, Dibër, for the criminal offense of “Deliberate grievous bodily harm”, resulting in death.
In addition, the criminal proceedings began in a state of freedom for the citizens ET, 48 years old, LK, 52 years old and AT, 63 years old, for the criminal offense of “Discrediting the crime”.
The OT citizen and the other 3 citizens who were prosecuted in a free state, on 26.06.2022, stated that the event happened accidentally, because the 60-year-old NB citizen, getting out of the parked vehicle of the ET citizen, had accidentally fallen and as a result, he was injured in the head.
Then, based on the suspicions created about the circumstances of this event, based on the information obtained during the operation, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of Dibër, the criminal proceedings were registered for the criminal offense “Serious Injury” on purpose”, resulting in death.
At the end of the investigative actions, it became possible to document this event with legal evidence. From the investigative actions, it was found that on 26.06.2022, in the “Kamen” district, Peshkopi, near the bar of the LK citizen, after a conflict for weak motives, the OT citizen pushed the NB citizen, who fell to the ground, taking serious injuries, as a result of which he died in the hospital, on the evening of 28.06.2022. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
