A few days ago ‘Top Channel’ published the story of some Afghans who came to the country last September. They have started their studies at the Agricultural University of Tirana. While the rector was talking to the American ambassador, he was suddenly confronted with the irony of the prime minister.
Rama: I really liked the part where the rector said, “we guarantee you, Ambassador Ambassador”, I remembered the time when the party secretary came here from the committee and the old dean said to him and said “I guarantee you, party secretary, that we will work for the party and let the people be proud of us. ” We also guarantee you definitely, thank you very much. These were my successes and long live the Albanian-Afghan friendship.
Ambassador Kim did not spare the answer to Rama’s joke, an answer which if it were not for humor would take on a different context.
Yuri Kim– What’s wrong with you…
Rama: The translator f’s to blame do .we will fire her….
Even before, Prime Minister Edi Rama did not leave without joking which of the two countries was more friendly with the Afghans or America.
Rama: I am very glad that the Afghan students here have not only found hospitality but have also found a space where they feel good. After a while they will go across the ocean, I hope they do not get upset that they will not treat them as well as we treat them here but they will also learn how not to treat others well and they will be fine and meanwhile it is not discussed that it is fun that all those who came, a few thousand here, are now getting what they expected, there is a small part left, others can come again but the whole system is completely normalized and Canada has got a big part, the United States is they get not as much as they promised but in part because they have this as a habit of promising a lot and doing less than they promise when it comes
The Ambassador of the United States of America, meanwhile, seriously recalled the drama of the Afghans and the hospitality of the Albanians.
Kim: We have all seen horror as violence erupted across Afghanistan. Like many others, 12 Afghan researchers of the research and innovation project, and families were forced to leave their homeland suddenly. Albanians naturally led the world in opening up their country to as many Afghans as possible, showing us all again what it means to be an honorable people. What it means to be kind. I will never forget the hospitality and humanism that the Albanian people showed in those days. The people you helped will not forget this either. Everyone here is truly an example of the strong partnership between the US and Albania, and we work together towards a common goal so that we can respond to difficult situations.
