Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking and Narcotics in DVP Korça, following the work to prevent and crack down on criminal activity of distribution of hard drugs, in cooperation with the Local Police Directorate of Elbasan, under the direction of the Korça Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office , successfully finalized the anti-drug operation codenamed “Epilog”, as a result of which the citizens EA, 41 years old, resident in Korça and AD, 44 years old, resident in Elbasan, were caught and arrested in flagrante delicto.
Based on the information provided by the police, that two citizens in the neighborhood no. 10, Korça, exercised the criminal activity of distributing hard drugs, the police services organized the actions and made possible their localization.
During the control exercised in the apartment taken into use by the citizen EA, in which the citizen AD was also located, 90.2 grams of suspected narcotic substance cocaine, 120.2 grams of prosecutor (mixer) and 1 electronic scale were found. Also during the physical control of the citizen EA, as well as in his vehicle type “Volkswagen Golf”, five doses weighing 1.4 grams of the suspected narcotic substance cocaine were found.
Following further procedural actions, a search was carried out in the apartment of the citizen AD, in the city of Elbasan, where 37.6 grams of suspected cocaine were found.
During this operation, as material evidence, a total of 129.2 grams of suspected narcotic substance cocaine, 120.2 grams of prosecutor, 2050 euros, 1 vehicle type “Volkswagen Golf” and 3 mobile phones were seized.
Work is underway to fully document this illegal activity and bring to justice the other persons implicated in this event.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance Korça, for the criminal offense “Production and sale of narcotics”, committed in collaboration.
