EU Special Envoy for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak met tonight with US Ambassador to Pristina Philip Kosnett.
Kosnett wrote in a Twitter post that the EU has the full support of the United States in mediating the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, and that the goal of this dialogue will be a comprehensive solution and deeper Euro-Atlantic integration for both countries. .
“In today’s meeting with Miroslav Lajcak, I reaffirmed the US support for a co-operation, for dialogue, led by the EU. “Our goal: a comprehensive solution and deeper Euro-Atlantic integration that benefits all citizens of Kosovo and Serbia,” Kosnett wrote on Twitter.
Lajçak is staying in Kosovo on a three-day visit where he will meet with the country’s political leaders.
Tonight he met with the chairman of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti. While the Slovak diplomat did not speak to the media, Kurti reiterated his position that the dialogue process with Serbia will remain the fourth priority during his rule.
