Albanians in the Presevo Valley are returning to the border with Kosovo due to the lack of a third dose of the vaccine. The Mayor of Presevo says that entry into Kosovo is necessary for the inhabitants of this area.
Ardita Sinani: Whether due to studies at universities in Kosovo, treatment in clinical centers, those who work or visit their families, they mostly attend the Republic of Kosovo.
Sinan hopes that the Government of Kosovo will consider this measure.
Ardita Sinani: Considering the difficulties of the citizens and our demands as municipal institutions, we remain hopeful that the Government of Kosovo will reconsider or supplement the decision.
The measure requiring the third dose of vaccine to enter Kosovo is considered unthinkable by the opposition and they have called an extraordinary session on this issue.
Armend Zemaj: It hinders the free movement of our citizens and brothers across the border, but it does not prevent or fight the virus.
Bekim Haxhiu: We have collected 40 signatures and have convened an extraordinary session which is expected to be held on Thursday.
Former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj also reacted against this measure. He calls the decision taken by the Government of Kosovo on January 22 arbitrary and harmful. These measures are in force until February 4.
